About
HockeyOS is a small team in British Columbia, Canada, that runs hockey programs ourselves. We built the thing we needed, and we price it in Canadian dollars.
Why it exists
The season was running on spreadsheets and copy-paste.
Someone on the bench scored the game on paper. Someone at home typed the goals into a spreadsheet. Someone else copied the score onto the club website, when they got to it. Three people, three versions of the truth, and a stats page that was wrong by Tuesday.
We ran programs like that, and we wanted one place where the sheet was scored once and everything else followed: the standings, the player stats, the widgets on the website, the record a parent checks on their phone.
So we built it. The bench scores on a phone. The sheet is final. The website updates itself. Nobody copies a score by hand again.
What we believe
Five things we won't bend on.
Every number comes from a sheet
Nothing is typed into a stats page. Goals, assists, saves and standings are derived from the game sheet the bench scored, and every number leads back to it.
Your website stays yours
We do not replace the club site. The widgets drop into the one you have and take its colours. If you leave, the site is still there.
Kids' data stays private
Birthdates never appear on public pages or widgets. Guardian consent is recorded. The retention schedule is published on our privacy page.
The money is the club's
Registration payments land in the club's own Stripe account. HockeyOS never holds the funds.
A person answers
Email reaches someone who runs a program too. No chatbot, no ticket queue to nowhere.
How we work with clubs
A few clubs at a time, each with a person.
HockeyOS is invite-only at launch. That is not scarcity for its own sake; it is how we make sure every club gets set up properly.
Invite-only, on purpose
We bring clubs on a few at a time. Every club gets a person on setup, not a video and a form.
A real person on setup
Someone walks the registrar through the first season: teams, rosters, the first paste onto the website.
Managed service, if you want it
Some clubs want the season run for them. Setup and managed-service packages exist; talk to us for what fits.
The people
Who's behind it.
Photo and a few lines from the founder
Who they are, which programs they run, and why they started this. Three sentences in their own words, no title inflation.
Talk to a person.
Tell us about your program and we'll set up a time to walk through the first season together. Free for one team, and the invite usually comes the same business day.
