Install guide
An HTML section in Website Builder. Paste, leave the height alone, publish.
6 steps · the HTML section
Copy the line from your dashboard
In HockeyOS, open Website & embeds → Embed Studio. Pick the team and the widget, set how it should look, and press Copy. That one line is the whole install.
Edit the page
Open Website Builder, go to the team page, and choose Add Section where the widget should sit.
Add an HTML section
Search the section list for HTML and add it. It arrives with a box labelled Custom Code.
Paste the line
Paste into Custom Code. The title above the section is optional; most clubs leave it blank and let the widget speak for itself.
Leave the height alone
If the section offers a forced height, leave it off. The widget sets its own height and grows as the season fills in.
Publish
Press Publish. The widget is live and updates on its own from here on.
Where it looks best
One section per widget, strip first.
Website Builder stacks sections full-width, so give each widget a section of its own. Put the results strip directly under the page's banner, then the schedule, then the roster. The narrow widgets work too — they simply sit centred in their section.
Worth knowing on GoDaddy Website Builder
- Website Builder has no sidebar. The narrow widgets still work, but each sits in its own full-width section rather than in a rail.
- The editor may show the HTML section blank until you publish. The widget is there on the live page.
GoDaddy Website Builder questions.
Where is the HTML section?
Add Section, then search for HTML. It is one of the standard section types.
Can I put two widgets side by side?
Not in an HTML section; it is one box per section. Stack them instead, strip first.
Will the section be blank while I edit?
It can be. Website Builder does not always run embedded code in the editor. Publish and look at the live page.
