Install guide
An Embed Code element from the Build tab. Drag, paste, publish.
5 steps · the Embed Code element
Copy the line from your dashboard
In HockeyOS, open Website & embeds → Embed Studio. Pick the team and the widget, set how it should look, and press Copy. That one line is the whole install.
Open the editor
Edit your site and go to the team page. Open the Build tab on the left so the element list is showing.
Drag in an Embed Code element
Find Embed Code in the list and drag it to where the widget should go. The page makes room as you drag.
Paste the line
Click the element, then Edit Custom HTML. Paste the line and click anywhere outside the box.
Publish
Press Publish. The widget sizes itself, takes your colours, and updates on its own from here on.
Where it looks best
Strip across the top, roster in a wide column.
Drop the results strip in a full-width spot under the page header. The roster and schedule want a one-column section so they have the width. Weebly's column layouts make a good rail for the record, next game and top scorers widgets.
Worth knowing on Weebly
- Weebly has two editors: the classic Weebly editor and Square Online. This guide is for the classic editor, which has the Embed Code element.
- The element takes the width of the column it is dropped in. If the roster looks cramped, move it to a one-column section.
Weebly questions.
The editor shows the widget but it looks different from my site.
The editor preview is close but not exact. Publish and check the live page; that is what visitors see.
Can I use one Embed Code element for two widgets?
Use one element per widget. It keeps each one easy to move or remove later.
I use Square Online, not the Weebly editor.
Square Online has its own embed block for custom code. Paste the same line there.
